The binders, folders, and markers were immediately put to use in our learning lab, where they became essential tools for organizing work and improving executive functioning skills. Students were thrilled to see the snacks, which we incorporated into a reward system that motivates them to focus on studying and completing tasks. By earning snacks through dedicated study time, they stayed engaged and developed a sense of accomplishment. The whiteboards have become a favorite for warm-ups and exit tickets, allowing students to review material in a fun, interactive way actively. One memorable moment was when a student proudly organized their binder for the first time, saying it made them feel \"ready and in control\" for the school day.\r\n\r\nWe're building on these successes by deepening our focus on study strategies and accountability. Using the materials, students are learning to plan their work for larger projects, such as creating study guides for midterms. The whiteboards will play a key role in practicing test review questions, while the folders and binders will help students organize notes and handouts by subject. The generous donations have not only supported their academic success but have also created a classroom environment where they feel valued and supported.","fullyFundedDate":1728057991445,"projectUrl":"project/unlocking-potential-building-success-in/8840347/","projectTitle":"Unlocking potential: Building Success in Special Education, Spanish, and English","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Morales","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9784119"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_23832","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":732,"numTeachers":78,"percentFrplEligible":4,"percentAsian":8,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":80,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":7,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"9.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":78.6,"schoolId":23832,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Byram Hills High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Byram Hills High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/byram-hills-central-school-district/byram-hills-high-school/23832"}
