In this way students could keep the erasers and wet erase markers in their pencil cases and free up their workspace on desks. With the pencil pouches students aren't distracted, as they concentrate in class, that the markers are rolling on the floor or their erasers are falling down on the floor. They don't have to be distracted with trying to keep them on their desk when we're not using them. Whiteboarding is extremely essential to my teaching because after I go over something and students practice problems. I need to check in with students and have them write responses on their whiteboards and hold them up so that I can see that each, and every student is learning in the classroom and let me know if I need to review again.
