Having these snacks available has turned into an extra source of motivation—many of my students now say they are looking forward to finishing their work so they can enjoy a snack. This simple addition has made a big impact, helping them stay on task longer and complete their assignments with more focus.\r\n\r\nWhen they first saw the snack bin, their faces lit up with excitement. Several students immediately said, \"Now we won't be hungry in class!\" Others shared how much it helps to know they'll have something to eat when their energy dips. It was a wonderful moment that showed them how much people outside of our classroom care about their success.\r\n\r\nBecause of your kindness, my students can fully concentrate on hands-on science activities without hunger being a distraction. They are more engaged in labs, more willing to collaborate, and more excited about learning. As we continue into upcoming projects, I know they will keep thriving with the support you've provided. Your gift is fueling not only their bodies but also their confidence and determination.","fullyFundedDate":1754751470524,"projectUrl":"project/powering-up-young-minds-with-healthy-sna/9512869/","projectTitle":"Powering Up Young Minds With Healthy Snacks","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. U","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9592262_orig.jpg?crop=1387,1387,x0,y365&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723086321295","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9592262"},{"teacherId":9646902,"projectId":8624135,"letterContent":"First things first, I would like to thank all of you for your generous contribution in the \"Podcast News: Bringing a Real-Life Learning Experience in the Classroom\" Project. True to its name, the equipment has been used in one of the nine Career-Technical Education (CTE) rotations in our school. CTE is a program that allows our students to explore on different career-technical options like culinary, welding, electrical, woodshop, med, STEM, HVAC, and podcast news.\r\n\r\nParticularly for podcast, I teach the students the nature of news, how to write news, how to deliver news and how to create a 5-minute production that includes intro, news stories, infomercial and outro. All my students get to have the chance to experience all roles from anchor, news presenter to spinner. I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for your generosity in supporting my classroom. The resources you provided have had a profound impact on my students' learning, allowing them to engage in meaningful STEM projects and conduct hands-on research that would not have been possible otherwise.\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, my students have been able to apply scientific concepts in real-world scenarios, deepening their understanding of STEM through exploration and experimentation. This project has empowered them to think critically, solve problems creatively, and develop essential research skills. Whether they were designing and testing wind turbines, analyzing microbial communities, or investigating sustainable materials, the hands-on experience has given them a new level of confidence in their abilities.\r\n\r\nWith these materials, I was able to enhance my teaching by incorporating more inquiry-based and project-based learning opportunities. Instead of just reading about scientific methods, my students actively applied them, collecting and analyzing data for their research projects. This has been especially valuable for those participating in STEM competitions. Because of your generosity, I was able to guide them through authentic scientific investigations, helping them develop a deeper passion for discovery.\r\n\r\nThe moment my students first saw the materials, their enthusiasm was contagious. One student excitedly said, \"This is the first time I've had access to equipment like this! I can't wait to start testing my ideas.\" Their engagement and curiosity have grown immensely, and it's all thanks to you.\r\n\r\nI want to especially thank An Anonymous Supporter for making this possible. Your kindness has transformed our classroom into a hub of innovation and discovery, opening doors for students who might not have had these opportunities otherwise. As we continue our STEM projects and research, my students are motivated to push their ideas even further, and I can't wait to see what they accomplish next.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our students and for making a lasting impact on their education. Your generosity has made all the difference, and we are truly grateful!","fullyFundedDate":1733495040260,"projectUrl":"project/ignite-young-minds-hands-on-stekits-for/8587821/","projectTitle":"Ignite Young Minds: Hands-On STEMKits for Future Innovators","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. U","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9592262_orig.jpg?crop=1387,1387,x0,y365&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723086321295","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9592262"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_82607","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":196,"numTeachers":12,"percentFrplEligible":81,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":96,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"16.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":11.1,"schoolId":82607,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Santa Rosa High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Santa Rosa High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-mexico/santa-rosa-consolidated-school-district-025/santa-rosa-high-school/82607"}
