Students and staff who visit love this aspect!\r\n\r\nWe will be using the headphones this coming week as we transition into our reading unit. Students are able to use the cards in order to play games that help build up their number sense. It also made a huge impact on students having chess sets. About 60% of students had never played chess before. Some of those had tried on a digital platform but they did not understand how it worked. They stated that having the pieces in their hands and being able to see how they moved around the room was very beneficial. The addition of these items to our classroom has allowed for so much more ownership for the students. It has also helped keep the technology we use (1:1 iPads) safe as they are no longer on the floor when they charge.\r\n\r\nThe students say that they are more comfortable using the table while working.
