Thanks to your support, we got plenty of manipulatives, flexible seating, and lots of storage organization for our classroom.\r\n\r\nHow We're Using the New Resources:\r\nSince receiving the materials, my students have been actively engaged in classroom games, using math manipulatives such as dice to explore multiplication and area concepts or relaxing on our comfy bean bag for our cool-down corner.\r\n\r\nStudents' Reactions:\r\nThe excitement was immediate! When my students first saw the new resources, they were filled with curiosity and enthusiasm. One student exclaimed, 'I can't wait to play math games with all of these dice!' while another eagerly asked if they could use the mini whiteboard erasers during independent time. Their joy and engagement were clear evidence of your contribution's meaningful impact.\r\n\r\nNext Steps:\r\nAs we continue our current lessons, my students are growing more confident and curious. Moving forward, we plan to create group projects where students use the new materials to solve real-world math problems. Your support has helped cultivate a love for learning that will carry on well beyond this project.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your generosity and for believing in my students. Your kindness has truly made a difference!\r\n\r\nWith heartfelt gratitude,\r\nJanay Wilson\r\nThird Grade Teacher\r\nBarcelona Elementary School","fullyFundedDate":1736193526001,"projectUrl":"project/expanding-horizons-for-kids/9030875/","projectTitle":"Expanding Horizons for Kids","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wilson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6261037_orig.jpg?crop=2674,2674,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1560539956236","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6261037"},{"teacherId":8476061,"projectId":8839397,"letterContent":"My students are enjoying the sensory stickers and having them available on their classroom desks during social-emotional lessons. I have attached a sticker to each desk and table where students sit, and they use them often during lessons to relax and focus. After I attached the stickers to the desks, the students immediately noticed the stickers and were curious about what they were. Every classroom of students asked about them. I explained what they were and gave them expectations for how to use them for calming down and focus. Students used them right away, and the first set have already become worn and might be ready to replace. I am thankful for having received so many so that I can continue to use them through the weeks, months, and years.\r\n\r\nI have also used these stickers as incentives for students when they achieve goals. For instance, I had a small group of students who were working on achieving academic goals. These students worked with me for over three months on learning how to write a goal, how to track progress on a goal, and how to celebrate reaching a goal. As part of the way we celebrated their success, I gave them a choice of two sensory stickers to take and use at home and/or school. The students were very excited to pick their stickers (they were the animal ones and came in a large variety), and they had difficulty choosing just two because they liked many of them. I explained they can attach them to anything they wish and can use them the same way they use them in the classroom. Each of them told me where they wanted to put their stickers as I walked them back to their classrooms. They seemed very motivated, and I am glad the stickers can be beneficial in providing a means of calming down and focus in a non-distracting way. I will continue to use the sensory stickers as motivators and to give students more ways to practice feeling management and sustain focus. \r\n\r\nOn behalf of my students, I sincerely appreciate your kindness and generosity in providing the funding to buy these sensory stickers. My project has motivated other teachers to provide sensory stickers in their own classrooms, as well, and I can see this benefiting many students in the years to come. The more tools we provide to our children, the better they are able to learn healthy coping skills. You have given them a wonderful gift.","fullyFundedDate":1734474804485,"projectUrl":"project/sensory-stickers-for-self-regulation/8839397/","projectTitle":"Sensory Stickers for Self-Regulation","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Armijo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8476061_orig.jpg?crop=3000,3000,x506,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1652751888149","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8476061"},{"teacherId":6262943,"projectId":9004091,"letterContent":"Thank you all again so much for supporting this project!
