One memorable project we worked on involved small group problem-solving on mini whiteboards. Each group tackled a challenging math problem, brainstorming and sharing their strategies. The markers allowed them to easily revise their work and encouraged risk-taking, knowing they could erase and refine their ideas. Watching students lean in, discuss, and celebrate their solutions highlighted how these simple tools transformed our learning environment into a more interactive and engaging space.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new dry erase markers, their excitement was contagious. Many eagerly tested how smoothly they wrote. For some, it was their first time using high-quality markers, and they were thrilled by the ease of erasing. It brought a sense of novelty and pride in their work, sparking a noticeable boost in their engagement.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we're using the markers to enhance our upcoming science unit on ecosystems. Students will create food web diagrams on whiteboards, showcasing the relationships between plants, animals, and the environment. The ability to experiment and revise their diagrams will help them better understand the interconnectedness of ecosystems.
