We began by organizing their personal language learning portfolios, where they can store writing samples, vocabulary sheets, and reading reflections. Having a structured binder for each child has given them a real sense of ownership over their learning. One special moment was when a student proudly showed her neatly organized pages to her classmates, saying, \"This is my English book.\" For many of my students, these materials are the first time they have had a space dedicated just to their growth in a new language.\r\n\r\nThe students' reactions were joyful and full of curiosity. They eagerly flipped through the sheet protectors and asked if they could start adding their stories and drawings right away. Their excitement reminded me how small resources can make a big impact by motivating learners and creating pride in their work. These supplies also helped me create a classroom culture of care and responsibility, as students now have a tangible way to track their progress and celebrate milestones.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are beginning a narrative writing project where students will draft, revise, and publish their own stories about family traditions and favorite memories. The binders will serve as a place to collect drafts, peer feedback, and final copies, so students can see how their writing develops over time. The materials you provided will not only support their current learning but will also help them build a lasting record of their growth in English. We are so grateful for your generosity in helping us make this possible.","fullyFundedDate":1726581026935,"projectUrl":"project/teaching-organization-from-young/8573005/","projectTitle":"Teaching Organization from Young","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. PAK","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7760792_orig.png?crop=821,821,x0,y164&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723059079593","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7760792"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_80664","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":212,"numTeachers":21,"percentFrplEligible":38,"percentAsian":21,"percentBlack":5,"percentWhite":23,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":48,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"1 - 3","studentTeacherRatio":"10.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":71.4,"schoolId":80664,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Bergen Boulevard School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Bergen Boulevard School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-jersey/ridgefield-public-schools/bergen-boulevard-school/80664"}
