Your thoughtfulness has created new opportunities for hands-on learning and play, helping students connect with one another while developing important skills in focus, patience, and creativity. My students are super excited about the opportunity to 3D-print, create everyday items, and explore how design choices impact the final product. Instead of just imagining their ideas, they now get to bring them to life in vibrant colors, which makes learning in STEM feel both real and inspiring. The filament has allowed students to see the direct connection between what they learn in class and how it can be applied in the real world.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students most is being able to design something and then watch it take shape in their chosen color. They love comparing how different shades make their projects stand out and often show off their finished creations to classmates with pride. With the glow-in-the-dark materials, review sessions have also remained a classroom highlight. Students eagerly anticipate \"glow party\" days, where the room transforms into a glowing, energetic space for math and science challenges.\r\n\r\nSome of my quieter students have especially warmed to these new materials. One student who rarely spoke in class gained confidence after creating a small 3D-printed tool that classmates admired. Another, who had struggled with focus, became one of the most enthusiastic participants during glow review games, answering questions eagerly under the black lights. These experiences show how powerful it is when students are given tools that make learning joyful, creative, and empowering.","fullyFundedDate":1754616550277,"projectUrl":"project/bringing-learning-to-life-replenishing/9471265/","projectTitle":"Bringing Learning to Life: Replenishing 3D Filament & Glow Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. A","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7869973"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_67973","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":341,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":50,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":4,"percentWhite":17,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":70,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":70.0,"schoolId":67973,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Lincoln Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Lincoln Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-jersey/ridgefield-park-school-district/lincoln-elementary-school/67973"}
