When students first opened the boxes, many weren't quite sure what to make of the unusual pieces. But very quickly, curiosity took over. They began experimenting, collaborating, and testing different ways to connect the parts. It was amazing to watch their problem-solving skills and creativity emerge as they built towers, bridges, and shapes they had never created before. These materials truly pushed them to think in new ways and explore engineering concepts hands-on.\r\n\r\nAs we continue using Qubits, students will apply them during upcoming engineering challenges where they'll plan, build, test, and improve their designs. We'll be focusing on stability, balance, and innovative solutions—skills that translate directly into our STEM curriculum. Thanks to this project, my students now have a meaningful, engaging tool that encourages exploration and gives them the confidence to tackle more complex STEM tasks. Students started combining tiles in creative ways, building structures, experimenting with patterns, and collaborating to solve design challenges.\r\n\r\nBecause of this project, students are working together more, sharing ideas, and supporting each other when someone gets stuck. Thanks to your contributions, we were able to acquire the Clixo wheels and Qubits building sets, and the transformation in student engagement has been immediate.\r\n\r\nThe moment the boxes arrived, the energy in the room was palpable. My students, even the typically reserved ones, gathered around with wide-eyed curiosity. When they first saw the colorful, flexible Clixo wheels and the unique magnetic connectors of the Qubits, their reaction was pure excitement. There were audible gasps and immediate calls of \"Can we touch them?!\" and \"Let's build something huge!\" This initial spark of curiosity has carried over into every session.\r\n\r\nWe are actively using these new resources in both our Library class and our STEM Club. In the Library, the sets have become a fantastic station for early finishers and a creative tool to illustrate structural concepts found in books.\r\n\r\nThe Clixo wheels have been a particular favorite, especially in the STEM Club. Students are drawn to the satisfying magnetic snap and the way the flexible plastic allows for dynamic, moving creations—they've built everything from self-propelling vehicles to imaginative biological models.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving our students this incredible resource and a \"peek\" into the exciting world of STEM right here in our library.","fullyFundedDate":1763584555376,"projectUrl":"project/click-snap-create/9811358/","projectTitle":"Click, Snap, Create!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kelly","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4854168_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1506866597371","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/wasburns"},{"teacherId":4854168,"projectId":9694069,"letterContent":"When our new Clixo STEM sets arrived, my students could hardly contain their excitement!
