The students were so excited when they saw the new materials and realized they would have an opportunity to try something different. For many of them, this is their first experience with knitting and stitching, and it has been wonderful watching their confidence grow as they learn.\r\n\r\nWe have started with the basics, including learning how to cast on, create stitches, and work with the yarn and materials. The students are learning that creating something by hand takes patience, focus, and perseverance. There is a special sense of pride when they look down and realize, \"I made this!\" Just as important, the club has created a space where students can relax, be creative, help one another, and connect with their peers in a positive way.\r\n\r\nNext, students will continue developing their skills and begin working on individual projects that they can complete and proudly take home or display at school. Your donation has provided much more than supplies. You have given our students an opportunity to discover a new interest, build confidence, express their creativity, and experience the joy of making something of their own.
