This special area has quickly become a meaningful part of our daily routine and has made a powerful difference in our classroom community.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the calming corner, their eyes lit up with excitement and curiosity. They immediately noticed the soft seating and comforting decorations, and many students eagerly explored the fidgets and the feelings book. Since then, the space has been used every single day. Students visit the calming corner to reset their emotions, practice self-regulation, enjoy a quiet reading moment, or simply take a mindful break before returning to learning. It has been especially heartwarming to see students independently choose to use the timers and tools to work through strong feelings and come back ready to learn.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we will continue to build social-emotional learning into our classroom routines using this space. Students are learning to recognize their emotions, practice calming strategies, and support one another in a respectful and caring environment. Your generosity has helped create a classroom where students feel safe, supported, and empowered.
