I have been able to give my students the ability to work in a way that best fits their needs. Being able to have many different seating and working options gives each student exactly what they need with being in a class of children who may need completely different things. The first time they saw the colorful, durable bags, their faces lit up with excitement—they couldn't wait to choose their books and proudly carry them home. Many students shared how special it felt to have their \"very own book bag,\" and parents have already told me how much their children look forward to reading together at home.\r\n\r\nWe use the bags every Monday when students select new books to bring home, and by Friday they return them ready to trade for fresh stories. This simple routine has already helped build responsibility, independence, and, most importantly, a stronger love for reading. \r\n\r\nThe next step for us is to continue building nightly reading habits that will help strengthen fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension skills. With your help, my students now have the resources they need to grow as readers both in the classroom and at home. My students were so excited the first time they saw them, and they couldn't wait to try them out. Right away, I noticed how much easier it was for many of my students to stay focused during lessons while still having the chance to move their bodies.\r\n\r\nFor example, during a recent small-group reading activity, one of my students who usually has a hard time sitting still was able to stay engaged the entire time because the wobble feet gave him a way to get his energy out without disrupting the group. Now, my students use them daily during independent work, reading, and math centers.\r\n\r\nThe next step for us is to continue building stamina during independent reading and writing. The wobble feet are helping my students grow in their ability to focus for longer periods while still feeling comfortable and supported in their learning space.","fullyFundedDate":1746613890487,"projectUrl":"project/wiggle-while-you-work-help-kids-stay-fo/9133793/","projectTitle":"Wiggle While You Work: Help Kids Stay Focused While Wobbling!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Stevens","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7944796_orig.jpg?crop=2378,2378,x352,y241&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1721529448156","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7944796"},{"teacherId":9565774,"projectId":8609684,"letterContent":"I can't thank you enough for your generosity! Your support has truly transformed our classroom art center into a space where creativity thrives. The moment my students saw the new art table, their eyes lit up with excitement, and they immediately got to work exploring. One of the best parts about this setup is that everything is accessible to them—they get to pick and choose what they want to use and decide what kind of art they want to create. There are no limits, no \"right\" or \"wrong\" way—just pure imagination and expression.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, we focus on process art, meaning it's not about making a \"perfect\" final product—it's about the experience, the exploration, and the creativity that goes into it. This art table has given my students the independence to experiment with different materials, mix colors, cut, glue, and design in ways that make sense to them. Some love to paint, others prefer collage, and a few are all about markers and stencils. The best part? They're in control of their own creative process, and that confidence carries over into other areas of learning too.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, this art space will continue to be a hub of choice and self-expression. I can't wait to see how their creations evolve throughout the year! Thank you for making this possible. Your generosity has given my students the freedom to create, explore, and express themselves in ways that truly matter.","fullyFundedDate":1730235941289,"projectUrl":"project/spark-creativity-help-build-the-ultimat/8609684/","projectTitle":"Spark Creativity: Help Build the Ultimate Preschool Art Center!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Smith","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9565774_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723263803713","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9565774"},{"teacherId":7944796,"projectId":8509605,"letterContent":"On behalf of my first-grade students, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for your generous donation of books to our classroom library. Your kindness has brought so much excitement and joy to our reading time!\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, reading is a special part of each day. My students look forward to DEAR Time \"Drop Everything and Read\", where they eagerly choose their books and settle in for 15 minutes of quiet reading. The new books have been a huge hit—they are drawn to the colorful pictures and captivating stories.\r\n\r\nThese books not only spark their imaginations but also help us work on essential skills, such as: Sounding out new words, even when they can't read the entire text just yet. Recalling story details during whole-class read-alouds, as they later reread these books on their own. Building confidence and a love for reading as they explore new stories independently.\r\n\r\nIt is such a joy to watch their faces light up as they dive into these new books, whether during our independent reading time or when we read them together as a class. These experiences are helping my students grow as readers and learners.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making such a meaningful contribution to our classroom.
