One of my classes is an In Class Resource class with students with intellectual disabilities and individual IEPS that focus on allowing movement and focus. \r\nThe chairs allow all students to work while being in a comfortable environment. While we do not have a specific project, the students use the flexible seating daily as needed during math. \r\n\r\nWhen I opened the first box, students were very excited and helped open the other boxes to take out the chairs and put the cushions on. They had a blast sitting on the chairs and several students started working with their math textbooks and their computers. During the day's lesson, several students wanted to go immediately to use the chairs to do their math activities. \r\n\r\nOur next steps for this comfy corner is to introduce the use of them for my other math students and the use of them on a daily basis to enhance their environment and their level of comfort during our math class. \r\nStudents are now able to choose flexible seating in the classroom to do their work using their book, manipulatives and or with a computer. \r\n\r\nThank you so much for your confidence and your support for our Comfy Math Corner in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1733239634356,"projectUrl":"project/comfy-math-corner/8581457/","projectTitle":"Comfy Math Corner","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Seiwert","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9619975"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_82169","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":420,"numTeachers":37,"percentFrplEligible":31,"percentAsian":8,"percentBlack":37,"percentWhite":19,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":26,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"11.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":86.4,"schoolId":82169,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about MacAfee Road School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"MacAfee Road School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-jersey/franklin-township-public-school-district/macafee-road-school/82169"}
