I am excited to share just how much your generosity has meant to my students and the impact it has had on our classroom community.\r\nThanks to your support, healthy breakfast items and snacks have been available to students throughout the school day, and they have quickly become an important part of our classroom environment. Students have shared how much they appreciate knowing that food is available if they come to school without breakfast, have a long day ahead of them, or simply need something to help them stay focused and energized. Having these resources readily accessible has helped create a space where students feel comfortable asking for what they need and confident that their well being matters.\r\nThe items you provided have supported learning in another meaningful way as well. As part of our nutrition unit, students participated in a lesson focused on making healthier snack choices and identifying nutritious alternatives to foods they may traditionally select. Students had the opportunity to sample a variety of snacks with greater nutritional value while discussing ingredients, portion sizes, and ways to make healthier decisions in their daily lives. Being able to experience these options firsthand made the lesson more engaging, practical, and memorable for students. Many students were surprised to discover healthy alternatives that they genuinely enjoyed and could see themselves choosing in the future.\r\nIn a classroom that focuses on health and wellness, these snacks have become more than just food. They have become an opportunity to reinforce conversations about nutrition, self care, and the connection between physical health and academic success. Students are better able to participate in discussions, remain engaged during lessons, and stay focused during longer class periods when hunger is no longer competing for their attention.\r\nPerhaps most importantly, your generosity has sent a powerful message to my students that there are people beyond the walls of our school who care about them and want them to succeed. That feeling of support and encouragement is something they carry with them long after the snack has been eaten.\r\nThank you once again for investing in my students and helping create a classroom where every student feels cared for, valued, and ready to learn. Your kindness and generosity have had a direct and lasting impact. I am incredibly grateful for your support.","fullyFundedDate":1768775797680,"projectUrl":"project/fueling-futures-one-snack-at-a-time/10040858/","projectTitle":"Fueling Futures, One Snack At A Time","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Ronco","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7215505_orig.jpg?crop=273,273,x224,y110&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1768775000193","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7215505"},{"teacherId":8682236,"projectId":9943576,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, this project has already made a meaningful impact in our biology classroom. The visual note-taking supplies have transformed how students interact with the material. Instead of simply copying notes from the board, students are now actively building their own visual learning tools. Students use colored pens and highlighters to label parts, color-code steps, and annotate the images in ways that help them better understand and remember the information. They are taking more time and working carefully on their notes, simply because they love the new, colorful supplies. The process makes learning feel more creative and engaging, and students take pride in the work they produce.\r\n\r\nFor many donors, technology like printers may seem simple, but in the classroom it makes a big difference. Being able to instantly print diagrams allows students to work with accurate visuals that they can interact with and personalize. This helps them break down complex biological processes into something more manageable and memorable. It also allows students who may struggle with drawing or organizing notes to still participate fully in creating meaningful study materials.\r\n\r\n\r\nI have especially noticed that some students who previously struggled with traditional note-taking are now much more engaged. Visual learners and students who benefit from extra structure are using color-coding and printed diagrams to help them connect ideas and follow complex processes step by step. It has been wonderful to see students become more confident and excited about learning biology. We hope you enjoy the pictures of our latest diagrams!\r\n\r\nYour support has given my students tools that make science more accessible, interactive, and memorable. Thank you again for making such a positive difference in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1771029356652,"projectUrl":"project/bringing-biology-to-life-with-visual-not/9943576/","projectTitle":"Bringing Biology to Life With Visual Notes and Printed Diagrams!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Koval","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8682236_orig.jpg?crop=1421,1421,x1038,y846&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1764785865050","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8682236"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_81516","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":2675,"numTeachers":141,"percentFrplEligible":25,"percentAsian":83,"percentBlack":4,"percentWhite":5,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":3,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":1,"gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"19.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":38.6,"schoolId":81516,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about John P Stevens High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"John P Stevens High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-jersey/edison-township-public-school-district/john-p-stevens-high-school/81516"}
