This has been such a blessing! We use the table several times a day in small groups for reading, writing, and math! The kids love that they can sit close to me, and I'm able to sit in the middle and help everyone. This small group table helps the students to focus their attention better since they are working closely with their teacher. Sometimes that is hard to do when working in a whole group situation. \r\n The kids were so excited to see the table when it arrived! They couldn't wait to try it out. It looks so very nice in our classroom too!\r\n Right now we are learning how to use number lines correctly to add and subtract in math. I pull small groups to the table and we work on some math problems using markers and number lines to practice. It's great that I can be right there in the middle able to easily help all of my students maneuver on the number lines to solve problems. It's also great to use for reading small groups. I can differentiate instruction by using different level books for different groups. This way I'm able to meet the students' needs and help them progress forward with their reading skills. We are enjoying reading non-fiction books about animals for a research project in writing too!\r\n Thank you again for all of your support! The students have been well organized, and I am able to meet the needs of students that require flexible seating. \r\n We have gotten a lot of use out of the laminator to make center activity games and things that need to be displayed around the classroom for enhanced learning. \r\n The chair pockets have been used to keep their headphones safe as well as library books. This helps with organization and keeps the headphones from becoming broken in their desk. The use of the Avery labels and velcro tape have also helped keep things organized on, in, and around their desk. \r\n My students have also loved earning the reward stickers for various reasons such as using them on behavior plans, or charts to help motivate them to complete their classwork, or as a sign of doing a great job on a test! \r\n The flexible seating stool has helped a student that needs to keep moving, be able to complete their work and still stay at their seat while moving around. \r\n Thank you for partnering with me and donating to my classroom to help make it a success! We immediately started to use our new resources and they have been a blessing to the students in my class!\r\n On the day that the bins arrived to my classroom, each student was able to choose a bin to keep their materials in, in their desk. They were very excited about this! This has helped the students to stay organized! Typically students just through everything in their desk and supplies are usually lost. With their bins, it keeps all of their materials in one location, and the bin takes up half of the desk so that all of their books and folders neatly stack up on the other side of their desk! This has increased instructional time by minimizing lost materials when switching subjects in our first grade class. This has been such a blessing for the students! \r\n We began introducing our new math center games one at a time to show the kids how to play properly with their math group. We use centers in math so that I can work with a small group on a particular skill while others reinforce those skills using the games that you provided for our class! 1st grade math is heavily focused on addition and subtraction skills, finding the missing number in an equation, comparing numbers, place value, and other skills such as telling time and counting money (coins). The students love their new math game centers! They are expanding their math fluency and number sense, and deepening their math knowledge while having fun at the same time! They were so excited when they saw all the colors they came in. Being able to choose their own color, made it even better! Now every student has headphones to use for their independent work on the computer and it has made their learning so much easier.\r\n\r\nMy students also received a bin to put in their desks to help with their organization. This has been a huge time-saver when they are looking for things. There is no more searching the whole desk. Everthing they need goes in the bin on one side of their desk and their books and folders go on the other side. Hopefully this will put them on the path to keeping themselves organized in the future. \r\n\r\nThank you again for your donations!
