The students were excited about their cute new pens, and their ability to write in various colors. That will also help in the coming weeks when we are doing editing and revisions on our creative work!\r\n\r\nAn added benefit that I hadn't thought of, but which I was able to do this week, is lend the floor cushions to other teachers for their students! One of my colleagues said that her classes asked if they could spend a period reading. What teacher doesn't love to hear that!?! I was happy to be able to offer the comfy, colorful cushions to her for her students to settle in and read for a while. \r\n\r\nSo thank you! For all of the kids that we are working together to give the best school experience possible. Your generosity goes a long way to help with that objective.","fullyFundedDate":1755725370201,"projectUrl":"project/start-the-year-right/9523877/","projectTitle":"Start the Year Right","teacherDisplayName":"Dr. Mueller","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7228108_orig.jpg?crop=288,288,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1710899052332","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7228108"},{"teacherId":7228108,"projectId":8381240,"letterContent":"I am always humbled and grateful for the generosity of our community. \r\n\r\nThank you for giving my students and outlet and an audience for their writing, and an opportunity to practice journalism in capturing the daily happenings of school life, and life beyond school. \r\n\r\nYou have helped better the high school experience for many students as a result of your generosity. Some students used the opportunity to write about events of the world and present that writing to a real online audience. Some students were able to express their opinions or share their enthusiasm for music, or some other passion. Others shared information about school events with the school community and the community online. \r\n\r\nAll of these opportunities have helped them experience journalism, and gave them a real audience for that work.
