These books became a central part of our learning, helping us explore plant life cycles, gardening basics, and seasonal changes before we ever planted a single seed. The stories and illustrations inspired rich conversations and hands-on discoveries that brought science to life in meaningful ways.\r\n\r\nWith this foundation, our class embraced outdoor learning to experience the seasons firsthand. We observed changes in our garden space, tracked weather patterns, and connected what we read in books to the world around us. These moments outside made learning joyful and real.\r\n\r\nTo celebrate and apply all we had learned, our students worked hard to plan and host a small farmers market! They proudly sold seedlings they nurtured themselves, hand-painted rocks, turtle crafts, and other nature-inspired creations. It was a beautiful way to bring together art, science, and entrepreneurship — and to share our learning with our community.\r\n\r\nYour generosity made all of this possible. Your impact has been incredible - and I'd love to tell you just how much of a difference you have made. \r\nIn third grade, we work on building the fluency and stamina for reading chapter books. Thanks to your generous gift, our classroom is full of wonderful books that are helping our young readers grow every day. These stories help them follow along from one day to the next, remember important characters and places, make predictions, and really think about what the characters are feeling or learning. We also have rich conversations about new words, how sentences work, and how authors use language to paint pictures and stir emotions.\r\nThese books are helping our students build the foundation they need to become confident, thoughtful readers—and we're so grateful to you for making that possible.\r\nReading in our classroom is full of joy and adventure. Students read on their own, with a partner, and as a whole class with fun read alouds. Every day, they get a chance to cozy up with a book they've chosen themselves for their own interest—and that quiet time becomes something really special. It's truly amazing to see them grow together as a community of readers.\r\nThese books are so much more than stories—they spark imagination, build connections, and help our students grow as thinkers and learners. Thank you for supporting this journey.
