The books that you helped us purchase will be so helpful for our students! These books were specifically designed to follow a scope and sequence of phonics skills, particularly for struggling readers. Each book highlights one phonics pattern and allows the students to practice reading words that are directly aligned to the pattern that they are practicing in their reading group.\r\n\r\nOftentimes, we do not have enough books that align with each phonics skill. Decodable books are typically very short, so students read through them quickly. Having these additional books and passages will help us to provide more reading resources for students to practice the necessary skills to crack the code!\r\n\r\nReading is so important, and I believe that it truly opens doors for kids! Thank you so much for being a part of this mission! I am always blown away by the kindness that exists within our local communities! Our students are so grateful and were also blown away that someone took the time and money to do this for our school! The moment the boxes were opened, students were visibly excited, eagerly reaching for engaging texts they couldn't wait to explore. These books offer something for every reader, whether they are just beginning their journey or are already reading more advanced stories. Having access to books at the right level allows each child to feel successful and confident as they grow as readers.\r\n\r\nWhat has been especially powerful is seeing students connect with characters they enjoy and return to familiar stories through the new book series we received. The series books, in particular, have motivated students to keep reading, book after book, and share their favorites with their classmates. This enthusiasm is helping to foster a love of reading that I know will stay with them far beyond this school year. Your support has truly put the joy of reading into my students' hands, and we are deeply grateful for the lasting impact you've made.","fullyFundedDate":1744296779456,"projectUrl":"project/new-books-new-worlds-for-students/9243909/","projectTitle":"New Books, New Worlds for Students","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. McPherson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9993409_orig.jpg?crop=1141,1141,x0,y129&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1744073665293","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9993409"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_80320","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":243,"numTeachers":19,"percentFrplEligible":23,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":91,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":1,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"12.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":87.7,"schoolId":80320,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Loudon Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Loudon Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-hampshire/merrimack-valley-school-district-sau-46/loudon-elementary-school/80320"}
