The motivational prizes brought so much excitement into our English Language Arts classroom and gave students something special to work toward as we approached the end of the school year.\r\n\r\nFor many of my students, especially my English language learners, testing can feel overwhelming. Having positive incentives helped change the way they approached their assessments. Students became excited about setting personal goals and challenging themselves to show how much they had learned and grown throughout the year.\r\n\r\nThe prizes helped motivate students as they prepared for their WIDA assessment, iReady Reading assessment, and Northwest MAP Reading assessment. Instead of focusing only on a score, we celebrated effort, improvement, perseverance, and reaching individual goals. Students encouraged one another and were proud when they could see their own progress.\r\n\r\nWhat made this project especially meaningful was seeing students realize that their hard work mattered. Every student started from a different place, but each one had an opportunity to experience success. The prizes were more than rewards. They became a way to celebrate growth, build confidence, and remind my students that their effort was worth recognizing.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping me create a classroom where students felt encouraged, supported, and excited to succeed. My students like to create and make things daily, which is why we needed the materials I ordered. I used the materials specifically to do a class art project. I think it turned out great, and I can't wait for the parents to see all of the students' hard work displayed. We used the tepra cakes for the base and then the kwick stick print to make the details in the picture. I am very proud because all the students took their time and put forth their best work. \r\nWhen we used the new materials, the students were overjoyed and even said it was good that we got new ones, as the old ones were all used up or hardly any were left. \r\nOur next step is to use the materials to create Mother's Day presents, and hopefully they will turn out just as good. We will also be creating the capes I requested for graduation, as I say, they are flying up to Kindergarten. Your generosity has made a meaningful difference in our daily routines and learning environment.\r\n\r\nBefore receiving these resources, we only had a single cabinet that wouldn't close or latch properly. Now we have two beautiful cabinets that allow me to organize all of our classroom materials. Because everything has a place, students can easily find what they need—markers, erasers, scissors, and other supplies for projects. It has helped us stay organized and spend more time learning instead of searching for materials.\r\n\r\nAnother big improvement has been our new vacuum cleaner. Previously, we had a small manual vacuum that students used at the end of the day to clean up. The new vacuum is powerful and quiet, and it cleans our classroom much more quickly. Students actually get excited to take turns using it because they can see how well it works!\r\n\r\nThe new seat sacks have also been a huge help. Our old ones were starting to rip because they weren't very sturdy. Students store their whiteboards, Chromebooks, and headphones in them for quick access, and those items can be heavy. The new seat sacks are much stronger and have been working amazingly well. Students can keep their materials organized and ready for learning throughout the day.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, they were thrilled. They immediately noticed how organized the classroom felt and were excited to try out the new vacuum and use their new seat sacks. It gave them a sense of pride in taking care of our classroom space.\r\n\r\nAs we continue our lessons, students will be using these organized materials daily during math, science, and project-based activities. Having easy access to supplies helps them transition quickly between lessons and spend more time collaborating, experimenting, and creating. Wonders stories, such as \"My Garden\" invite students to think beyond what their current understanding. While students know what a garden is, students enter into more of a Willy Wonka world through imagination. \r\n\r\nAfter hearing the stories, the students were able to engage in imaginative conversations about things they would have, from twizzler bridges to bubble gum bushes. Students went to their tables and became Illustrators in the stories that will become their garden. \r\n\r\nThe kids had so much fun creating and discussing their gardens with eachother.
