I no longer have to repeatedly reset and herd my students back together. They now have clear expectations of where they need to be. \r\n\r\nThe magnetic whiteboards have been an absolute game changer in increasing the level of engagement during phonics and math. Whenever I call for them to pull out their whiteboards, a cheer often erupts through the room. Using the whiteboards, my students are able to demonstrate their knowledge of letter, digraph, and trigraph sounds. They often treat it as a game and it helps me as a teacher identify those students that need additional support and coaching. I also placed the home blocks in a container accessible for the students. Monday morning, my preschoolers cheered with joy! Immediately, they set out to explore, work together, collaborate, and construct by using all the new materials.
