In our self-contained ACP classroom, these resources provide opportunities for students to explore, practice communication, build fine-motor skills, and work on social-emotional and independent living skills in a fun and engaging way. One specific activity we have enjoyed is using the sensory table for themed exploration, where students can scoop, pour, sort, and discover different textures and objects while practicing following directions and interacting with their classmates.\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, they were excited and curious! Many of them immediately wanted to touch and explore everything. It was wonderful to see their smiles and enthusiasm as they discovered the different materials and realized that they could use them to play and learn.
