I love to see them be so very helpful with each other when they need help opening a package or if someone makes a spill. The language development that has happened is quite impressive children that we're not able to form those sentences in English have very quickly picked it up and are copying phrases and using manners and just wanting to have that recognition of look, I can do this too. The dry erase markers have been a favorite because students can actively participate in lessons by showing their thinking and practicing new skills. Their excitement when they first saw the new supplies was wonderful to see!\r\n\r\nThe cleaning wipes help us keep our shared classroom spaces clean, and the variety of snacks provides a little extra support for students who may come to school feeling hungry. Many of my students are little, but they have big emotions. Once I showed them the items, many of them were very excited to try them out.\r\n\r\nI have already placed the calming sensory tubes in the calm down bin which helps students feel calm and take a break to regulate their emotions. I also plan to get a couple of bins to place the pluffle and kinetic sand in for work breaks. The social emotional books have also been a lot of help and have been of great help with my 2nd grade social group first thing in the morning. \r\n\r\nI truly appreciate all of the items that I received. I'm so very excited to get more into a routine with my students so that they are able to use these even more throughout their day to help with emotions and helping meet their sensory needs.","fullyFundedDate":1778520385381,"projectUrl":"project/simple-sensory/10167188/","projectTitle":"Simple Sensory","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Simpson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3688883"},{"teacherId":10525592,"projectId":10324568,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for making it possible to fully fund my DonorsChoose classroom project! Your generosity means more than simply receiving new materials—it means giving my students additional opportunities to learn, grow, express themselves, and feel supported in our classroom.\r\n\r\nThe resources you provided, including the A Little SPOT of SEL book sets, The Magical Yet, Curious Why, Marvelous Now, the Emotions Coin Drop, Happy or Not, Bingo Emotions and Feelings, and Sensory Fidget Tubes, have given us new and engaging ways to focus on social-emotional learning.\r\n\r\nThese materials help my students put words to their feelings, recognize and understand emotions, practice social skills, and develop strategies for managing big feelings. The books give us opportunities to have meaningful conversations about perseverance, curiosity, emotions, and being present in the moment. The games and hands-on activities make these important lessons fun and accessible, while the sensory fidget tubes provide students with a quiet tool they can use to help regulate themselves and stay ready to learn.\r\n\r\nOne of the things I value most about these resources is that they allow students to see that their feelings matter and that it is okay to need different strategies to feel calm, focused, and ready to learn. Instead of simply telling students how to handle emotions, we can now practice these skills together through stories, games, conversation, and hands-on activities.\r\n\r\nYour support has helped create a classroom environment where students can build confidence, develop emotional awareness, and learn skills that will benefit them far beyond the classroom. Every book opened, every game played, and every moment spent helping a student understand their emotions is a reminder of the difference your generosity makes.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in my students and believing that they deserve engaging, meaningful resources to support both their academic and emotional growth. I am incredibly grateful for your kindness and for the opportunity to put these materials into the hands of my students.","fullyFundedDate":1780944116018,"projectUrl":"project/social-emotional-regulation-room/10324568/","projectTitle":"Social Emotional Regulation Room","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Melissa","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10525592_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1780936702362","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10525592"},{"teacherId":9577579,"projectId":10146074,"letterContent":"The excitement has already shown such a great thirst for reading.
