They have asked for bookmarks to save their spots. \r\n I have asked them what they love the most and they all said they can't wait to do presentations of their favorite stories and want to present them to their classes. So many of these kids are not fluent in English so this is a very big deal. The increase in interest in reading and then speaking is a huge step for many of them. \r\n Confidence that comes from reading books they truly love and want to share with others is helpful to not only their development but to other students in the classroom also. Your support has brought not only essential supplies but also joy, engagement, and a sense of comfort to my students.\r\n\r\nThanks to your kindness, we received a wide variety of incredible resources, including a set of dry erase math practice boards for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as math posters that have brightened our walls and reinforced key concepts in a fun, visual way. The Gaiam Balance Ball Chair Balls and stacking stools have brought flexibility and comfort to our learning space, and helped students stay focused and active during lessons. The students were especially excited to get rid of what they called the \"danger ball\"—a ball in one of the chairs that was too slick to sit on safely.\r\n\r\nThe set of kids' headphones I was able to order, allowed for more effective independent work and gave students a sense of pride during testing, knowing they had a reliable set. Previously, our headphones were broken and held together with tape. When it came time for state testing, the students were proud to use their new headphones with confidence.\r\n\r\nWe also received various fidget tools—including fidget chair bands, a fidget toy set, sensory slug fidget toys, and spiky sensory rings—which have been wonderful for students who need sensory support. The Crazy Aaron's Gnome Home Thinking Putty, calm sensory stickers, and sand timers have also been especially helpful in promoting self-regulation and calm during the school day. The students were so excited to see a knew set of fidgets, and couldn't wait to try them all out. These all came in handy within the last few weeks of school when we were working so hard to be ready for our state testing. \r\n\r\nOn top of that, the Ninja Life Hacks: Leadership 8-book box set and Kindness Starts With You have sparked meaningful conversations about leadership, empathy, and kindness—especially among students who struggle with emotional regulation, social interactions, or managing big feelings.\r\n\r\nEvery item you donated has already made a difference. More than just supplies, you gave us tools for learning, focus, creativity, and emotional support. Your generosity is deeply appreciated and will continue to positively impact my students for years to come.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, thank you for investing in our classroom and believing in my students.","fullyFundedDate":1742923147756,"projectUrl":"project/a-calm-body-and-brain-to-promote-inclusi/9034067/","projectTitle":"A Calm Body and Brain to Promote Inclusivity in School!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Smith","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9708309_orig.jpg?crop=4088,4088,x56,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1736616859993","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-smiths-resource-room"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_78969","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":432,"numTeachers":29,"percentFrplEligible":55,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":75,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":17,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":76.9,"schoolId":78969,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Cozad Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Cozad Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/nebraska/cozad-community-school-district-11/cozad-elementary-school/78969"}
