By introducing handheld whiteboards during class discussions, students were provided with frequent opportunities to respond in a low-stakes, interactive way. This shift transformed the classroom dynamic from passive listening to active participation.\r\n\r\nThe whiteboards allowed every student to contribute simultaneously, rather than relying on a few volunteers. This inclusivity not only increased student voice but also helped me, as the teacher, quickly gauge overall understanding and identify misconceptions in real time. The immediate feedback loop enabled more responsive instruction—misunderstandings were addressed on the spot, and successful responses were reinforced and celebrated.\r\n\r\nStudents reported feeling more confident and involved in class, especially those who were typically quieter or more hesitant to speak out loud. The whiteboards gave them a chance to share their thinking in a non-threatening way. Over time, I observed improved classroom behavior, greater accountability, and a more positive learning environment.","fullyFundedDate":1726591247180,"projectUrl":"project/show-me-what-you-got/8791703/","projectTitle":"Show Me What You Got","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Padilla","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9753114"},{"teacherId":9398407,"projectId":8816602,"letterContent":"My students have been able to use the games weekly to practice much needed reading skills. This has allowed us to do more hands on activities. My students like these activities more than traditional activities. The student engagement in the classroom has increased greatly. As a first year interventionists, it was so exciting to see how all of the materials came together to help support not only the students, but also worked wonders for organization in the classroom. \r\n\r\nThe students love the buy in of tracking their growth throughout the year. They have easily caught on to the daily/ weekly routines that are implemented in the classroom. They come in and grab their folders, whether it is for reading, math, or spelling. They know exactly where all the supplies are and how they are used. They especially love to see whether they are beating any goals they previously set. During parent/teacher conferences, they were eager to bring their parents in to show them all the wonderful things that have been happening in the room. \r\n\r\nAs an interventionist teacher, I am able to immediately access all information, thanks to the folders. The color coding makes it look more friendly and easy to understand. I am extremely grateful for Donor's Choose and all donors who support the many projects on behalf of the teachers, myself included.
