My students really enjoy the materials donated to my classroom. They were so excited to see the materials and learn how to use them.\r\nThe first thing the students learned how to use was the coding machine. They really enjoy making the pictures and learning that this is the basis of how coding begins. There were times of frustration, but I am proud to say my students persevered and figured out how to overcome obstacles and mistakes. It was a great moment and students were very proud that they overcame their frustrations. \r\nThey have been able to get very creative with the marble maze. They enjoy learning about force and how that contributes to how the marble moves.\r\nLast is the magnetic blocks. I was able to introduce a perimeter lesson to them. They had to work in groups and had to tell me the number of blocks they used for the chicken pen. They loved it!\r\nThank you again! I look forward to creating more lessons for my students with the materials you donated.","fullyFundedDate":1746542347842,"projectUrl":"project/creative-thinking-helps-build-critical-t/9233315/","projectTitle":"Creative Thinking Helps Build Critical Thinking Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hageman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp533558_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1524605826618","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-hageman"},{"teacherId":9693754,"projectId":8683324,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting the students of Victor Middle and High School by sponsoring our classes Primary Document Project. \r\n\r\nWe have been excited to use the resources in various ways including Gallery Walks about the US Revolution. This was a great opportunity for the 8th grade students to see first person accounts and the use of primary documents from a time period that they have only read about. These resources made the ideas and people come alive for the students. \r\n\r\nIn addition, we have used the primary documents on Native Americans to help enhance our IEFA lessons. This has been used not only in the Middle and High School but also in 1st and 2nd grade lessons. \r\n\r\nThank you again for making such an impact in our school. The original request was primarily for them to use the headphones and calculators for the online math program, but it has come in handy for a couple of different things. My students have been having a great amount of success with their online math platform. They are able to listen to the teaching videos and have a separate calculator to help them with calculations, all without bothering other students. The original purpose has been met and exceeded. \r\n The headphones have been used during study halls, science class, and any time a student has makeup work to do. We use Google Classroom and with our recent presidential inauguration, I was able to assign students the recap video in Google Classroom. The headphones allowed me to have a study hall in one of my classes where students were able to watch the inauguration speech, do their online math, and even play on a math website. This all happened because of your donation. Thank you for providing this opportunity to my students.","fullyFundedDate":1726268561748,"projectUrl":"project/the-sound-of-numbers-headphones-and-ca/8756506/","projectTitle":"\"The Sound of Numbers: Headphones and Calculators Combined\"","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Williams","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8011350_orig.jpg?crop=2208,2208,x0,y736&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1644533348384","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8011350"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_78669","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":239,"numTeachers":10,"percentFrplEligible":79,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":78,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":13,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"23.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":57.0,"schoolId":78669,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Victor School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Victor School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/montana/victor-public-school-district/victor-school/78669"}
