Your contributions have made an incredible difference in the lives of my students and in the atmosphere of our learning environment.\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, we have been able to add a wide variety of books to our library. This expanded selection includes diverse genres, reading levels, and topics, ensuring that every student can find something that sparks their interest and imagination. The excitement on their faces when they discover a new book that resonates with them is truly priceless.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has helped foster a deeper love for reading among my students. With new and engaging books readily available, they are more motivated than ever to explore stories, learn about new ideas, and dive into adventures through the pages of a book. For many, this has been a transformative experience that will nurture their literacy skills and critical thinking abilities for years to come.\r\n\r\nOne of the most meaningful impacts of your donations is the opportunity to provide books that reflect my students' diverse backgrounds and experiences. Seeing themselves represented in the stories they read has made them feel seen and valued, while also encouraging empathy and understanding for others. The inclusive nature of our new library has truly enriched our classroom community.\r\n\r\nYour kindness has also allowed me to tailor our library to meet specific curriculum goals and cater to individual student interests. This personalized approach has made learning more engaging and meaningful for everyone.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of my students and myself, thank you for believing in the power of education and for making such a positive impact on our classroom. The class can now take the book learning and apply it out in the field in a real world application. Specifically the class can now build the batter boards and take them apart with the three cordless drills gifted to the class in an efficient manner that is a time saver to allow the class to focus on the heart of the project. The class will be using the batter boards to demonstrate the concept of a 3-4-5 right triangle - an application of Pythagorean's Theorem. The objective is to actually lay out the outline for the four corners of a buildings foundation and to demonstrate the corners are square. This is where the cordless drills come into play. The class can efficiently create the batter boards - place in the ground - use a string line to lay out the four corners of the foundation. ( see photos) The students students will use a tape measure and the Pythagorean Theorem to demonstrate that if the diagonals are matching then the four corners are square.\r\n\r\n The next step in the project will occur this spring since the ground is now frozen and snow covered. The students will use the batter boards and string line to lay out an actual foundation that is square. This will also include making sure everything is level and construction ready. This is all going to be possible because of the generous donato to this project.
