Even something as simple as whiteboard cleaner made them excited! They were especially happy about the bean bags! It gives them a break from the hard chairs. They eagerly await their week to use them. \r\n\r\nSince our school is short on janitors, they do not clean our whiteboards. My students apply for classroom jobs, and one of the jobs is whiteboard cleaner. At the end of the day, the student erases the boards with our fabulous new erasers that actually work, and don't just smear the marker around. Then they use the cleaner once a week with the new rags to ensure our boards are nice, white, and ready for the next week. Each student also received a mini whiteboard eraser for their desks. They are estatic that they don't have to use old socks anymore. \r\n\r\nAnother favorite item my students received is the bulk container of mints. My students get to eat a mint before taking a test since mint awakens the brain. They might have been equally as excited about the mini push pins. They use these to track the places we've talked about in social studies on a map. \r\n\r\nMy students use the pencils when they work one-on-one with me, and now I have correction tape for those mistakes I make with ink. The labels are used to organize our classroom library. I print a color coded alphabet on them, and the classroom librarian uses them to keep our classroom library organized. \r\n\r\nThe laminating sheets, magnetic hooks, computer speakers, Vis-A-Vis markers, and erasers have all come in extremely handy as well. It saved me from spending my own money on these items my classroom desperately needed.","fullyFundedDate":1725601267615,"projectUrl":"project/functional-fifth-grade/8695228/","projectTitle":"Functional Fifth Grade","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Fink","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9701925"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_78712","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":350,"numTeachers":8,"percentFrplEligible":38,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":88,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":4,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"43.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":61.5,"schoolId":78712,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Plentywood School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Plentywood School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/montana/plentywood-school-district/plentywood-school/78712"}
