These wonderful resources have truly enriched my ability to support my students..\r\nAs a school counselor of approximately 200 students, I have witnessed the joy these books bring during lessons when I introduce a Diane Albert book, their faces light up with excitement. I appreciate the engaging content and the valuable lessons these books offer. Many of our students struggle to articulate their feelings and these books serve as a helpful tool for discussion and understanding.\r\nI am also incredibly thankful for the jumbo feeling cards, conversation cards, and Spot character stuffies. The students love holding the feeling spots while we read which enhances their engagement with the material.\r\nOn behalf of myself and our students, thank you once again for your generous contributions. I wanted them to be able to see what was new, smell the new book smell and feel the crisp pages. These are the things, beyond the words, that a person who loves books, loves about books: the feel, the smell, the touch of the pages. \r\nWhat a gift you have given to me and to the children! They got to check them out and be proud that they were the first person to be able to bring a new book home. It's those little moments that change all the things in world to goodness. \r\n\r\nThe children get to have new, popular books from great authors. We have been practicing new words like Caldecott, author, illustrator, editor, and publisher with the books we have received. We read the book, Fry Bread: A Native American Family Story by Noble Maillard (a book we received from you) and the whole school set up a station for making fry bread from the recipe in the back of the book! It was delicious and the kids were so enamored by seeing and following a recipe and then watching that come to life.","fullyFundedDate":1728008143470,"projectUrl":"project/a-book-to-light-the-way/8809161/","projectTitle":"A Book to Light the Way!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Morford","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9770546"},{"teacherId":4833088,"projectId":8785380,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for our new resources. They have significantly enhanced our learning environment. Recently, we have used our new resources for small group centers! \r\nWhen they first encountered the new materials, their eyes lit up with curiosity and excitement; they eagerly engaged in hands-on experiments, collaborating with peers to solve real-world problems.
