This project may seem simple on the surface, but the impact has been powerful, helping us create spaces for hands-on exploration, collaboration, and understanding.\r\n\r\nThe 11 pounds of kinetic sand have quickly become a classroom favorite. Every student enjoys it, but it's especially meaningful for our kindergarten student, who loves using it to play, build, and strengthen fine motor skills. It's a calming, sensory-friendly material that allows him to stay engaged and focused while still having fun.\r\n\r\nThe anchor chart paper has been the perfect tool for collaborative learning. We recently created a \"Books We Have Read This Year\" poster together, and the students are so proud to see their growing list of shared reading experiences. Throughout the year, we'll keep adding to this chart, a visual reminder of how much we've learned and grown as readers.\r\n\r\nOne of the most meaningful additions has been our Neurodivergent Voices books. These titles will be used throughout the year during guidance lessons to help students build empathy, celebrate differences, and better understand themselves and one another. Because we have neurodivergent students in our classroom, these books are especially important in creating a more inclusive and supportive learning environment.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving my students tools that support both their learning and their hearts. Your kindness helps us create a school where every student is seen, valued, and inspired to grow.","fullyFundedDate":1756788753513,"projectUrl":"project/hands-on-learning-with-stem-and-sensory/9672780/","projectTitle":"Hands-On Learning with STEM and Sensory Play","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Gibby","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9718841_orig.jpg?crop=718,718,x0,y165&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753313716058","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9718841"},{"teacherId":9718841,"projectId":9660280,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our school! Your generosity has made it possible for my students to learn, grow, and explore in meaningful ways. The resources from this project have sparked curiosity, supported independence, and created powerful opportunities for us to celebrate both science and culture.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting additions has been our hands-on discovery science kits. These kits encourage students to think like scientists, exploring, experimenting, and problem-solving. They've been especially wonderful for our kindergarten student, who uses them during independent play time when I'm working with the older students. He's able to stay engaged, build skills, and discover new things on his own, a huge win for fostering early curiosity and confidence.\r\n\r\nThe heavy-duty book bins have brought a sense of order and pride to our classroom library. Just because we're a small, rural school doesn't mean we can't have professional, organized spaces. These bins replaced our worn-out storage totes and have made it easier for students to find and return books independently.\r\n\r\nA highlight of this project has been the Native American novels and traditional stories. These books are deeply meaningful, especially since we live in Montana and two of my students are Native American. They absolutely light up during read-aloud time, recognizing and connecting with their culture and heritage in our classroom library. Sharing these stories has made our community stronger and more inclusive.\r\n\r\nThe Girls in STEM books have been another powerful tool. They've opened conversations about perseverance, innovation, and the truth that girls can do anything. Our students are inspired by real-world role models and are beginning to imagine new possibilities for themselves.\r\n\r\nWe've also used \"The Magical Yet\" to grow our understanding of growth mindset. After reading, students wrote their own \"yet\" statements and designed their personal Magical Yets, a creative and empowering activity that's become a class favorite. And with \"The Kids Book of Diversity,\" we had meaningful discussions about identity, respect, and belonging, culminating in beautiful identity collages that now hang proudly in our classroom.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving my students the opportunity to explore science, celebrate identity, and dream bigger. These resources are helping them become curious thinkers, confident learners, and kind community members.","fullyFundedDate":1756599443841,"projectUrl":"project/bringing-diverse-books-and-bright-ideas/9660280/","projectTitle":"Bringing Diverse Books and Bright Ideas to Our Rural School","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Gibby","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9718841_orig.jpg?crop=718,718,x0,y165&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753313716058","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9718841"},{"teacherId":9718841,"projectId":9495129,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity and support of our school! Your donation has made a real, tangible difference for my students. In a multi-grade classroom like ours, staying organized and meeting the needs of a variety of learners is essential. Thanks to you, we're able to do just that!\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting additions has been our thermal printer. I've been able to clearly label all of our subject bins, which has made transitions between lessons much smoother. Soon, students will even get to design and print their own stickers, a creative project they're already buzzing about. The magnetic bins have also been a game-changer, helping us keep work from three grade levels organized and easy to find.\r\n\r\nOur class also received copies of the book \"Wonder\", allowing my 4th and 6th graders to read together as one community. They were absolutely captivated by the story and connected deeply with its themes of kindness, empathy, and inclusion. It has sparked so many meaningful conversations in our classroom.\r\n\r\nIn addition to these learning tools, the box of healthy snacks has been a quiet but powerful support. Living in rural Montana means that if a student forgets their snack, there's no quick trip home or to the store. Knowing they have something to eat helps them focus on learning instead of their empty stomachs.\r\n\r\nThe folders have helped students take ownership of their work and keep their families informed, while the NeeDoh fidgets have brought calm and focus to our daily read-aloud time, something students look forward to every day. It's especially sweet to see some of my quieter students holding their fidget in one hand while eagerly raising the other to share their thoughts about a story.\r\n\r\nYour kindness has brought organization, comfort, and joy to our classroom.
