Because of your generosity, my students now have access to a 3D printer that has transformed how they learn, create, and think about technology.\r\n\r\nMany of our donors use technology at home, but in our classroom this technology is used as a \"learning tool\", not just a device. Students begin by designing objects on the computer, learning how shapes, measurements, and perspective work together. They then revise their designs based on feedback and finally watch their ideas become real, physical objects. This process helps students develop problem-solving skills, spatial reasoning, and perseverance as they test, adjust, and improve their work.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most is seeing something they designed on the screen turn into something they can hold in their hands. The moment a print finishes is always met with excitement and pride. Students are especially motivated knowing that their ideas are not just assignments, but real creations.\r\n\r\nSeveral students who were previously hesitant with technology or struggled with traditional classroom tasks have really connected with this project. Some who are quiet during discussions have become leaders during design time, explaining their ideas and helping classmates troubleshoot designs. Others who enjoy art or building have found a new way to express their creativity through 3D modeling.\r\n\r\nYour support has given students confidence, sparked curiosity, and shown them that learning can be both challenging and exciting. Most importantly, it has shown them that people beyond their classroom believe in their potential.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making such a meaningful difference in our students' learning.","fullyFundedDate":1769983762346,"projectUrl":"project/stem-3d-rendering-and-design/10071734/","projectTitle":"STEM: 3d Rendering and Design","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Cloud","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8917036_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1769867302098","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8917036"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_78396","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":204,"numTeachers":12,"percentFrplEligible":52,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":87,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":5,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"5 - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"17.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":81.8,"schoolId":78396,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Lewis & Clark Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Lewis & Clark Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/montana/lewistown-school-district-1/lewis-clark-elementary-school/78396"}
