My students are absolutely loving NFeLementary. So far they have drafted their team, designed their team's helmet to put up in our classroom, written a letter and addressed an envelope on that letter and have mailed them off to their team, and each week are analyzing their team's current game and upcoming game. In their weekly reports they are learning how to look up stats online, using different math operations when calculating and working with their team's scores, rounding numbers, practicing time, learning time zones, calculating air miles between cities, locating and labeling cities, learning state abbreviations, and making predictions.\r\n\r\nMy students were so happy when we got enough donations to make this possible for the school year. They come in every Monday and love to talk about how their team did the day before. It's been a ton of fun watching highlights together and talking about lessons we can learn from players and their actions and reactions to different things that happen on and off the field. \r\n\r\nSoon we will begin research projects where they will get to research the history of their team, their mascot, and different players on their teams such as the quarterback, running back, and wide receiver. They will also research their team's city and we will practice public speaking with a couple presentations.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your kindness and generosity. We are excited to continue implementing more aspects of NFeLementary into our classroom.
