Students have been utilizing the new rocking chair daily to relax and work on their coursework. They have also been engaged with all of the new activity books. These books allow students to work together on fun activities when they don't have missing assignments. It aids in their mental health to have fun discussions about the clues in the murder mysteries and crossword puzzles. Cellphones are a huge issue in our district, and I'm hoping our superintendent will choose to ban them next year. Because of your donations, I now have activities that will help students interact with their peers and enjoy being at school even more.\r\n\r\nStudents are also utilizing the new fidgets that are much more durable than others we've had. My students with ADHD like using them daily to relax and focus on their work. Students also like to get their \"zen\" on when working on the 1,000 piece puzzle you donated. I would much rather see students having fun conversations with each other instead of being on their phones. These tools have already made a significant impact and meaningful difference with our students. Sparking joy, increasing engagement, and calming are only a few examples we see daily.\r\n\r\nFrom spinners to chair wraps, our students (and staff) use these resources daily. In fact, we are seeing an increase in independent access and use in our classrooms. This is a huge step for students who rely heavily on adult interaction to understand \"they\" need something to calm or deal with anger. Just cool!\r\n\r\nYour support goes beyond simply providing resources; it empowers us to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where students growth and exploration thrive.
