Your support has meant the world to us and has provided us with phenomenal reading opportunities. \r\n\r\nThe books I have purchased have a range of benefits, including: increased language development, vocabulary expansion, imaginative stimulation, emotional understanding, moral lessons, critical thinking skills, and so much more. Reading can act as a tool to help children learn about the world around them and develop important life skills. Each day I find my students engulfed in a book, the story so enjoyable, completely focused, connecting with characters and travelling to unimaginable places. Your contribution has made an incredible impact, and I'm thrilled to share the outcomes that have transformed the reading abilities and confidence of my students in such a short amount of time.\r\n\r\nBefore receiving your donation, my students struggled with reading either due to limited access to diverse and engaging materials or because they lack the tools to foster love for reading. The variety of depth needed to spark curiosity, and encourage independent reading. However, thanks to your support, we were able to build a diverse library filled with books that catered to different interests, reading levels, and genres. These books were not just items on shelves, but gateways that opened up new worlds for my students.\r\n\r\nOver the past three months, we have seen a remarkable increasing reading levels across the board. On average, students have shown growth of half to a full year in their reading skills. This is an extraordinary achievement, and is a direct result of your generosity the new books provided meet the needs of early readers, and challenges more advanced readers, pushing them to new height and further encouraging their growth and allowed students to find materials they could connect with on a personal level. The power of having access to text they are genuinely interested in cannot be overstated. \r\n\r\nBeyond the measure of growth in reading levels there's been a visible shift in my students attitude toward reading. More students are actively choosing to read during independent time, and showing excitement when we introduce a new book. The books have become a tool, not only for improving literacy, but also for developing critical thinking, creative, and lifelong love of learning. Students had begun to see reading as an enjoyable activity, not a chore. They increased fluency and comprehension in our classroom, discussions and written reflections. \r\n\r\nOnce again, thank you for your generous donation!","fullyFundedDate":1725220506325,"projectUrl":"project/adventure-awaits-discover-the-magic-of/8721599/","projectTitle":"Adventure Awaits: Discover the Magic of Reading!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Wilting","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9718013"},{"teacherId":9713614,"projectId":8729265,"letterContent":"Thank you so very much for bringing a variety of books into the hands of the young readers in my classroom. When the first shipment of books came, my students were so excited. As I introduced each book and series they were practically jumping out of their seats to be the first to read them. \r\n\r\n As the months have progressed, my students are devouring each book. When they get to a climactic point in the book, they have to share with me or their classmates because they are so excited. I even had several students tell me at the beginning of the year that they didn't like reading and now they are reading their hearts out!
