The first tools we used were the cordless glue guns and the zip cutter for cardboard. The students were so excited about the cordless glue guns. They heat up quickly and there is no more mess from leaking tips. Our old corded glue guns were always covered in glue that leaked out. It would get all over our work space and cause issues on our projects. It is also much safer with out cords and extension cords laying across the floor. We don't have to worry about tripping.\r\n The zip cutter to cut cardboard is so much faster and safer than using razor knives. In the past, I always worried about students cutting themselves with the knives. Even though we only have 1 zip cutter, it is still faster to take turns with it than making multiple passes through cardboard with the razor knife to cut all the way through.\r\n The button maker is a fun addition to our classroom. We are having fun as we learn about graphic design and create our buttons.\r\n Thanks for your support of our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1726553364066,"projectUrl":"project/engineering-the-future/8788693/","projectTitle":"Engineering the Future","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Normand","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/250956"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_74131","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":350,"numTeachers":12,"percentFrplEligible":35,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":85,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":5,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"29.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":66.7,"schoolId":74131,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Frenchtown Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Frenchtown Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/montana/frenchtown-school-district-40/frenchtown-junior-school/74131"}
