The students and I are so grateful to have new kitchen items for our classroom kitchens. When the students saw the Amazon boxes, their faces lit up with joy and excitement to see what new items they would be getting for their kitchens.\r\nThe students are so happy to have brand new blenders. Our old blenders were hard to clean and didn't blend very well anymore. The students really enjoy making fruit smoothies using the new blenders. The students have really enjoyed using the new waffle makers. We have made waffles multiple times and are looking for other ideas of things to cook using the waffle makers.\r\nWe are currently deciding on a meal to cook using our new crockpots. The students like to have cook-off challenges, so we are planning to use the crockpots to keep our chili warm so teachers can judge the best chili. \r\nThe new rubber maid storage containers have come in use lately when we have made tacos and need storage for our leftover onions and tomatoes. We will be using the larger storage container to save and freeze any extra pizza sauce that the students have after making homemade sauce for their pizzas.\r\nMy students and I are so grateful for the amazing donations to our classroom. Thanks to you, we now have padded walls, crash mats, and a spinning chair that provide a safe and calming space for my students. These resources will make a powerful difference in their school day by giving them tools to manage emotions, regulate their bodies, and refocus on learning. For many of my students, having a designated space to meet their sensory needs helps reduce frustration and anxiety, while also building confidence and independence. Your kindness has truly created a positive impact that will be felt daily in our classroom, and I cannot thank you enough for investing in my students' success and well-being.","fullyFundedDate":1746785881049,"projectUrl":"project/a-safe-space-for-students-to-retreat-re/9150055/","projectTitle":"A Safe Space for Students to Retreat, Recharge, and Return","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Comstock","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9503728_orig.jpg?crop=2187,2187,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1724526204158","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9503728"},{"teacherId":9601441,"projectId":9014123,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your wonderful donations to my 7th and 8th grade Family Consumer Science classes. They were very excited to have the new knives as our old knives have been handed down from the local community. Most of the students shouted with joy about not having to use dull old kitchen knives anymore.\r\n\r\nSince receiving the new kitchen items, we have made chicken fried rice, butter curry chicken, cookies, and many other delicious things. We will be starting a unit on fresh pasta soon.
