Most recently, my students used the colored pencils and markers to complete environmental awareness and impact posters. They were so excited to be able to use new juicy markers and sharp colored pencils! \r\n\r\nAdditionally, the brand new #2 pencils have been a life saver as the ones we had for our classroom supply were starting to go missing and the ones that were left didn't have good erasers because we are excellent at fixing mistakes! I can't even begin to tell you the joy that new glue sticks bring to students. You should see their faces light up when they take the cap off and exclaim \"I got a brand new one!\". Every Friday we are able to have a day to spend with our students to introduce a STEM activity. Our 4th and 5th grade students are using the new Ozobot Evos to learn how to code/ program. It is a skill that students will need for years to come. Our students enjoy reading so much, we just cannot always keep up with their hunger. Many times, students fall for a certain author or series or genre, they read all we have, causing us unable to find something new and exciting to fill that void. With their reading grade relying on them reading and testing on books they have read and comprehended, this puts a lot of pressure on us! Eek! Hence, how this project came about.\r\n\r\nLooking about the broad range of the age of students our library services drove the need of books we needed. It is difficult to decide on books for kindergarteners at 5 years old beginning to read to eighth graders at 14 years old mastering reading. Yet, our selection was greatly varied as much as our student population. \r\n\r\nAs we are getting the books catalogued and on the shelves, the students are gobbling them up and enjoying every piece of them! We have not seen some, such as \"Diary of a Wimpy Kid\", \"The Wild Robot\", or many of the junior non fiction books back on the shelves since we place them on them! That is a GREAT sign!\r\n\r\nAgain, my colleague and I are grateful for the generosity you have shown our small rural school library. We would not be able to meet the reading needs of our students without your help and care.","fullyFundedDate":1733275770707,"projectUrl":"project/reading-for-one-and-all/8863800/","projectTitle":"Reading For One and All","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Johnson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7728003_orig.jpg?crop=2005,2005,x534,y645&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1611949132774","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7728003"},{"teacherId":3424118,"projectId":8900436,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation of multiple different novel sets for my 5th graders.
