The graphic novels are a favorite for all the kids and they have been taking turns reading them. I love seeing how the students are excited to read and engrossed in the books!\r\n\r\nMy students also are enjoying the I Survived Books, Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Diary of a Pug. This may mean they struggle to answer questions after hearing a story or they may have difficulty in re-telling a story they heard. A natural way to build language in my students is to incorporate books into my lessons. However, finding books that are at their receptive language level as well as books that are engaging can be difficulty. \r\n\r\nThat's where National Geographic books come in. One of the items I asked for in my Donor's Choose request was a set of National Geographic books. Kids are drawn to nonfiction and love learning about nature. In addition, the bright photographs support kids who may struggle to remember the information they heard or may need some extra visual support to help them answer questions. The multitude of subjects in the packet I received means everyone gets to learn about something they're curious about. \r\n\r\nThank you for donating to my Donor's Choose project!
