The students wanted to do a project where they grew their food to eat. The idea of a pizza and salad garden came from a book that one of my students found in the school library. The class was really excited when all the materials appeared. Many of my students had not planted a garden before.\r\n\r\nThis project took us five months. We had to plant our seeds and then wait for everything to grow. The plants were in our class the whole time, so my students got to see how the plants grew each day. We planned for all our veggies to get done around the same time in order to have a pizza and salad party.
