Students were able to create Blackfeet Language game cards on their iPad and then print out the cards to make games. We keep a few game sets in class and send game sets home in hopes more Language is used at home within the families. We have had such positive feedback this far. With the label maker we have been able to label everyday things in our Blackfeet Language which encourages them to see the word and use the world more often rather then using English all the time. \r\nI always tell my students how important it is to learn technology and how to utilize it in different ways. My students know the importance of using technology to learn rather then just games. They have become so aware of how to be creative. Seeing them navigate different sets of technology has been very rewarding. \r\nWe would have not been able to share this experience without you. Fox Boy and the Books. Students used the puppets to demonstarte how to take care of Library books. They used puppets and created their own script utilizing more than 70% of the Blackfeet Language. They also got to experience recording and editing of the video. The puppet show video will be used in the Library for all students in our school to see and will be used in the years to come.
