Your gift made it possible for our students to all have a chance to experience playing the alto xylophone before we went on winter break. When coming into the classroom and seeing it for the first time, they became very excited to be exposed to a new instrument. Each one of them was able to play it and become aquatinted with how it sounded and what it felt like to play a pitched percussion instrument. Something most of them had never had the opportunity to participate in before. \r\n\r\nOnce again thank you very much for your generosity and opportunity you have provided for young students to learn and experience new sounds and feelings. I am looking forward to incorporating this instrument into many of our classes.","fullyFundedDate":1733345892710,"projectUrl":"project/lets-make-melodies/8854144/","projectTitle":"Let's Make Melodies","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ketcham","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9787323"},{"teacherId":9776854,"projectId":8818358,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the donations for my classroom . The bean chairs, and the cushions for chairs have made my classroom a comfortable environment learn in and do testing in. The kids are eager to come into my classroom and find a comfortable spot to sit. I help do a lot of the state testing and curriculum testing so I wanted to create a comfortable and positive environment for this. \r\nI've also used my emotional/ behavioral spots when kids need them to help recenter. They've also used my hands on building toys for this or a break during testing. We are seeing so much more focus during their center time because they are motivated to finish their activity. \r\n\r\nWhen they are finished, they use the tablet to access the Seesaw app to upload a picture. They can even annotate on the picture and record themselves. This is especially helpful to the classroom teacher as he can review their work at the end of the day and plan instruction based off their performance. \r\n\r\nIn addition to these tablets, we were able to purchase some materials to boost our interventions. The alphabet soup cans are fun and engaging when working with kindergarteners to address letters and sounds. We have also used them by mixing up the pictures in the cans and sorting them as a review for the letters and sounds we have worked on thus far. We also purchased some dice, Unifix cubes, and counting chips. These are staples to many center, games, and small group activities.","fullyFundedDate":1727547542213,"projectUrl":"project/fire-up-our-centers/8824691/","projectTitle":"Fire Up Our Centers","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. DiGiallonardo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9779142"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_78811","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":176,"numTeachers":15,"percentFrplEligible":32,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":87,"percentIndigenous":3,"percentLatinx":3,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"11.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":44.4,"schoolId":78811,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Blue Creek Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Blue Creek Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/montana/blue-creek-school-district-3/blue-creek-elementary-school/78811"}
