Our science stencils have quickly become a classroom favorite. Students use them every day to be creative while learning to draw their favorite animals and insects. The snap bracelets have also been a huge hit; each student receives one on their birthday, and they look forward to that special moment with great excitement.\r\n\r\nAlthough the wobble chair feet did not fit the chairs in my classroom, we were able to gift them to our resource room, where they are now benefiting many students throughout the school.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity and for helping provide tools that support learning, creativity, and emotional regulation for all of our students.","fullyFundedDate":1757011386188,"projectUrl":"project/creating-a-calming-classroom-environment/9673201/","projectTitle":"Creating a Calming Classroom Environment","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Essex","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9707657"},{"teacherId":10098746,"projectId":9510884,"letterContent":"I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for supporting our DonorsChoose project. Your generosity has made a meaningful and daily impact on all 16 of my students. Every resource you provided has added something important to our classroom—whether it supports learning, organization, focus, creativity, or simply helps students feel cared for.\r\nOne of the most exciting additions has been the Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards. These have allowed me to bring engaging, technology-supported learning experiences into our lessons. My students absolutely love the reading passage escape rooms and math escape rooms I've been able to purchase. These activities blend academic skills with technology, teamwork, and problem-solving. Students work through a series of questions, and each correct answer unlocks a clue. When they gather all the clues, they solve a final mystery. Not only are these activities fun, but they push students to think critically, communicate, and persevere. Several students who normally hesitate to participate in traditional assignments have become leaders during these escape rooms because the format makes learning feel like a game.\r\nThe new Flex-Space wobble chair has also been a huge hit. Many students love using it during independent work because it allows them to move while still staying focused. A few of my students who struggle with sitting still have especially warmed up to this chair. It helps them regulate their energy while still doing their best work, and it has been wonderful to see how it boosts both comfort and concentration.\r\nOrganization has improved tremendously thanks to the math resource folders, the magnetic dry-erase calendar, and the 26-drawer teacher toolbox. Students now keep their math materials in one place, which has made transitions smoother and increased their independence. The toolbox has been a game-changer during small groups, allowing students to find pencils, markers, and other supplies without interrupting instruction. The calendar helps the whole class stay aware of upcoming events and responsibilities.\r\nThe 500-pack of pencils ensures that no student ever has to worry about running out of something so essential. This may seem simple, but it removes a big stressor for many students and helps keep our learning time focused.\r\nThe paintbrush set has supported a huge burst of creativity in our classroom. With enough brushes for everyone, students have been able to paint more freely during art. Several students who were typically quiet or unsure during art projects have shown a new sense of confidence and excitement.\r\nThe snacks you provided, including Cheez-Its and Welch's fruit snacks, have made sure that students who forget a snack or cannot bring one still feel cared for and ready to learn.\r\nFinally, the Brain Quest 4th Grade Smart Cards have become a classroom favorite during indoor recess and short breaks. Students love quizzing one another and learning new facts in a fun way.\r\nThank you again for your incredible generosity. You have made a real difference in our classroom, and my students feel supported, valued, and excited to learn because of you.","fullyFundedDate":1757011386124,"projectUrl":"project/help-us-learn-create-and-grow-in-4th-g/9510884/","projectTitle":"Help Us Learn, Create, and Grow in 4th Grade","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. McCollom","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10098746"},{"teacherId":10098746,"projectId":9511683,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our classroom project! The LEGO sets, including Young Simba, Stitch, and the Creator Bunny, have been a huge hit, sparking creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork. Students love building and exploring different designs, which keeps them engaged and excited about learning.\r\nSensory clay, kinetic sand, and magnetic tiles have provided hands-on, calming, and STEM-focused activities that students use during indoor recess or free time. Science kits, microscopes, and STEM building toys help students explore, experiment, and learn through discovery. Puzzles, pattern blocks, and brain teasers have encouraged critical thinking and screen-free play, keeping students focused and happy.\r\nThese resources have truly transformed our classroom, giving students more opportunities to learn, create, and collaborate. Every student has been able to benefit from these materials, and their excitement for learning is clear every day. As a first year counselor in rural Montana, these resources immediately became an invaluable part of my work with my k-8 students. \r\n\r\nI love reading, and find value in all books; however, these texts in particular have been so powerful because in the counseling setting, they assist students in gaining skill like naming emotions, practicing empathy, exploring healthy coping skills, and seeing diversity belonging on the page. Students can identify and connect with characters' experiences to their own loves, and I love using moments like that to discuss big topics like emotional regulation, interpersonal skills, etc. These books have been taken into every classroom in the school, used during small group counseling sessions, and get pulled out daily for one-on-one student support. They are by far the most used socio-emotional tool in my office. \r\n\r\nI love the moments these books bring about with my students! They remind me that stories are not just entertaining; literature bridges children to deeper self-understanding and connection. Your generosity has not only stocked my office shelves but has also given students the tools to build resilience, empathy, and confidence, and I am so grateful to you for making that possible.","fullyFundedDate":1742909612399,"projectUrl":"project/build-our-social-emotional-library/9008803/","projectTitle":"Build Our Social Emotional Library!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Christel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9875323_orig.jpg?crop=1413,1413,x0,y127&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1734386569270","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9875323"},{"teacherId":9692816,"projectId":8681635,"letterContent":"Thank you from the bottom of 37 hearts (including mine) for the dictionaries. Down the road, we have plans to set projects for the kids that will include STEAM fundamentals, but for this session we just let them build what they wanted. This time together brought a lot of joy and the students said they wished we could do it everyday!\r\nMy favorite moments were when the kids showed everyone what they had built at the end of the session and their excitement to return next week. My students especially love our rug of the United States. Several of them sit on their favorite state during our morning meetings at the carpet. I particularly appreciate the whiteboard paper I used to cover an old, non-functioning whiteboard I could no longer erase and clean. It has been a lifesaver for me! We have loved reading the children's literature during our reading group time. The kids have learned so much about what life was like when our country was first settled.
