When I showed the students the Lego sets that were chosen, their faces lit up! We started on the San Francisco Skyline at our very first meeting. They tackled that quickly so I am really thankful we ordered an even more challenging Lego set with the Harry Potter Hogwarts Express! We were also able to continue using Lego kits that were donated last year, which continue to be a hit with the students. We added a grade this year, so we have some new faces which is great. Our school built a new playground and the weather has been unseasonably warm which postponed the start of Lego Club for awhile. The excitement when we finally had some cooler temps and students were eager to be inside was contagious. Now that we have started, we will continue to meet weekly! Our science stencils have quickly become a classroom favorite. Students use them every day to be creative while learning to draw their favorite animals and insects. Every resource you provided has added something important to our classroom—whether it supports learning, organization, focus, creativity, or simply helps students feel cared for.\r\nOne of the most exciting additions has been the Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards. These have allowed me to bring engaging, technology-supported learning experiences into our lessons. My students absolutely love the reading passage escape rooms and math escape rooms I've been able to purchase. These activities blend academic skills with technology, teamwork, and problem-solving. Students work through a series of questions, and each correct answer unlocks a clue. When they gather all the clues, they solve a final mystery. Not only are these activities fun, but they push students to think critically, communicate, and persevere. Several students who normally hesitate to participate in traditional assignments have become leaders during these escape rooms because the format makes learning feel like a game.\r\nThe new Flex-Space wobble chair has also been a huge hit. Many students love using it during independent work because it allows them to move while still staying focused. A few of my students who struggle with sitting still have especially warmed up to this chair. It helps them regulate their energy while still doing their best work, and it has been wonderful to see how it boosts both comfort and concentration.\r\nOrganization has improved tremendously thanks to the math resource folders, the magnetic dry-erase calendar, and the 26-drawer teacher toolbox. Students now keep their math materials in one place, which has made transitions smoother and increased their independence. The toolbox has been a game-changer during small groups, allowing students to find pencils, markers, and other supplies without interrupting instruction. The calendar helps the whole class stay aware of upcoming events and responsibilities.\r\nThe 500-pack of pencils ensures that no student ever has to worry about running out of something so essential. This may seem simple, but it removes a big stressor for many students and helps keep our learning time focused.\r\nThe paintbrush set has supported a huge burst of creativity in our classroom. With enough brushes for everyone, students have been able to paint more freely during art. Several students who were typically quiet or unsure during art projects have shown a new sense of confidence and excitement.\r\nThe snacks you provided, including Cheez-Its and Welch's fruit snacks, have made sure that students who forget a snack or cannot bring one still feel cared for and ready to learn.\r\nFinally, the Brain Quest 4th Grade Smart Cards have become a classroom favorite during indoor recess and short breaks. Students can identify and connect with characters' experiences to their own loves, and I love using moments like that to discuss big topics like emotional regulation, interpersonal skills, etc. These books have been taken into every classroom in the school, used during small group counseling sessions, and get pulled out daily for one-on-one student support. We were a Science field trip today and the word \"rhetorical\" was used...I overheard a couple of them say they would look it up when we returned!!! It is a skill they have embraced and had no idea how much info in contained in a dictionary!!! They take the initiative to check parts of speech, correct use in context, etc. It is a wonderful tool for them to access.
