Having hands-on, colorful games turned math time into an event they look forward to every single day.\r\n\r\nWe have been using these math folder games during our daily math center rotations. One memorable moment was during a small group activity where a kindergarten student and a first grader were paired up to play a counting and addition matching game. Watching them cheer each other on as they solved problems and slipped the game cards into place was incredible. The visual and hands-on nature of the folder games allows my students to grasp abstract math concepts—like number sense, basic addition, and shape recognition—in a way that feels like play rather than practice.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, our next step is to use these folder games for targeted skills practice as we begin our new unit on basic subtraction and word problems. Because the games are self-contained and easy to manage, students will also be using them for independent partner work, allowing me to conduct focused, small-group instruction with students who need extra support.
