By providing access to tools such as accessible learning materials, and hands-on activities, you helped create a more inclusive and empowering learning environment. These resources allowed the girls to engage with STEM subjects—science, technology, engineering, and math—on their own terms, breaking down barriers that previously excluded them from full participation. For many of them, this was their first opportunity to explore these fields in a way that acknowledged and accommodated their unique needs.\r\n\r\nAs a result, the girls gained confidence, new skills, and a stronger sense of belonging in academic spaces that often overlook students with disabilities. I have first handed seen an increased enthusiasm and participation, and many of the girls expressed a newfound interest in pursuing STEM careers in the future. Your support not only helped open doors to education—it also sent a powerful message that their voices and potential matter. Through your donations, you played a vital role in building a more equitable and diverse future in STEM.","fullyFundedDate":1743982336151,"projectUrl":"project/stem-for-girls-with-disabilities/9090029/","projectTitle":"STEM for Girls With Disabilities","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Young","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9552780"},{"teacherId":9994727,"projectId":9248911,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support in funding sensory toys and hands-on learning tools for our classroom. For a week straight, we received packages and each time we opened something, my students' faces lit up with pure joy—they could hardly contain their excitement as we opened each box together. The sensory toys were an instant hit and have been used every day since their arrival. Several students immediately began exploring the different textures and features, and their smiles said it all. These tools are already making a big difference in helping students feel calm, focused, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nWe've incorporated all of these learning materials into our daily classroom routines and centers in meaningful ways. The sensory toys are available during quiet time and transitions to help students self-regulate, while the hands-on learning tools have become a regular part of our small group instruction. Whether we're practicing math or exploring new concepts in ELA, these materials have brought energy and engagement to our lessons. Your kindness has created a more supportive and inclusive environment where every child feels empowered to succeed.
