As the students read the books and take tests on them, they are getting excited to read more. The Mo & Cher Willems Foundation made a large donation to our project and we were able to get several Elephant and Piggie books, which the students love. The students have really enjoyed the fun new books in our library. They are coming in looking for the new ones and also telling their friends about the ones they are reading. It is so nice to see how excited they are each day to have these new books. If they read 10 chapter books for the semester, then they will be invited to an ice cream sundae party with me before we leave for Christmas break. They are working so hard to meet this personal goal. Thanks again for your support.
