This contribution has made a meaningful impact on many students.\r\n\r\nThe Divergent series you provided is a cornerstone of our dystopian book club unit, which consistently sparks engagement and excitement—even among our most reluctant readers. Through these books, students are able to examine important literary elements such as characterization, setting, theme, point of view, etc. These books contain themes of identity, choice, and society, encouraging students to think critically about the world we live in today. Beyond the academic skills of reading and analysis, the unit fosters community, thoughtful discussion, and empathy as students wrestle with big questions about what holds societies together and what causes them to fall apart.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, my students have access to new, high-quality, engaging texts that open doors to deeper learning and meaningful conversation. We are so grateful for your support in helping us grow as readers, thinkers, and community members.","fullyFundedDate":1744290667037,"projectUrl":"project/dystopian-dreams-books-to-ignite-critic/9224033/","projectTitle":"Dystopian Dreams: Books to Ignite Critical Thinking","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Haddad","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8545359"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_55078","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":656,"numTeachers":56,"percentFrplEligible":20,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":6,"percentWhite":74,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":9,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"11.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":81.0,"schoolId":55078,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Lakeview Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Lakeview Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/missouri/park-hill-school-district/lakeview-middle-school/55078"}
