It's incredible how something as simple as seating can make such a profound difference in the way students approach their learning.\r\n\r\nThe students love the stools, and they've become an integral part of our classroom setup. Whether it's collaborating on group projects, participating in discussions, or simply finding their \"just right\" spot to learn, the flexibility and comfort these stools provide have changed the dynamics of our space. Your kindness and support have made a tangible difference in their daily lives, and we are deeply grateful for your thoughtfulness.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your generosity and for believing in the potential of our students. I have seen that since our new balls and equipment has come in attendance has increased! Many of my students that are chronically absent have been in school and I know a main reason is they are excited for all the things now provided at recess! By having more equipment students look forward to recess wherever it is because now there is plenty to do!! By having attendance increased we went from having my personal group of students go from 50 percent of them meeting their reading goal to 99 percent! I know one of the main reasons is that they are at school for the much needed independent reading time! I have seen many students making gains on their iready learning paths by coming to school on a regular basis. My students with retention delays are doing much better on making much needed gains in their reading and writing! I know this project cost a lot but I am hoping this equipment last years and is able to impact hundreds of students. Last quarter I had 50 percent make their goal. I know one of the reasons for the huge increase is the reading incentives. I am learning that 6th graders are more motivated by external rewards rather than internal. By increasing their reading in class I have already seen improvements on their reading comprehension and vocabulary knowledge.\r\nOver 50 percent of my students tested at the beginning of the school year two grade levels or below on their reading scores. Through my experience with students and research I have found that the best way to improve students reading skills is for them to practice reading. By having incentives for them to read my students are encouraged to read more. I have had several students even going home and finishing books overnight. I had some kids when they started reading a series and are now hooked. \r\nI really appreciate your donations and I know my students are learning and developing as readers thanks to your help.","fullyFundedDate":1731341743653,"projectUrl":"project/reading-rewards/8932010/","projectTitle":"Reading Rewards","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Scott","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9804371_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1735753764132","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9804371"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_77486","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":703,"numTeachers":47,"percentFrplEligible":62,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":63,"percentIndigenous":2,"percentLatinx":20,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"5 - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"15.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":76.5,"schoolId":77486,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Neosho Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Neosho Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/missouri/neosho-elementary-school-district/neosho-middle-school/77486"}
