The boy scouts presented the flags, the Ambassadors read Veteran poems and sang patriotic songs. Even the highschool choir came and sang two songs to the Veterans. Our principal gave a short speech honoring the veterans. The Veterans were able to leave with a gift of a flag pin or bracelet thanks to your donations. It was a very touching ceremony for many.\r\n\r\nWe can't express how grateful we are to our donors. We explained how these items will help teenagers in need. The students understood that some students don't have basic needs met, and how we are to be grateful for the things we have and use every day.\r\n\r\nNext month a representative from the Covenant House will come to our meeting to collect the bags and explain more about how our project helps their organization. He is a dynamic speaker and will teach the children how important is to give back to their community.\r\n\r\nThis is such a teachable project for our Ambassadors.
