Your generosity has made a noticeable difference from the moment the materials arrived, and I want to share how much your kindness means to both me and my students.\r\n\r\nThe seat pockets have already transformed our classroom in the best way. First graders spend a lot of time moving, sitting, shifting, and getting settled, and having comfortable, organized seating has helped them stay focused and ready to learn. The pockets on the covers have been a huge help. Students no longer lose track of their materials or struggle to find the tools they need. Everything has a place, which has made transitions smoother and our learning time more productive. You wouldn't believe how proud students are to have their supplies neatly stored right behind them. It gives them a sense of responsibility and independence that truly supports their growth.\r\n\r\nThe rolling carts have quickly become one of the most helpful additions to our classroom. They allow me to keep materials organized and easily accessible during small-group instruction. Instead of stacking books or juggling supplies on different tables, everything is now within reach and ready to go. This has made our reading, writing, and math rotations run more efficiently, and students benefit from having seamless lessons without delays or distractions. For a busy first grade classroom, these carts are a game changer.\r\n\r\nThank you again for believing in the importance of a well-organized, welcoming classroom. Thank you for choosing to help teachers and students you may never meet in person. And thank you for making a real, immediate difference in our learning community. Your kindness has made a wonderful difference in my art classroom.\r\n\r\nWith your support, I was able to purchase engaging art lessons from Art with Trista, which provided step-by-step projects that help my students explore creativity while building important art skills. These lessons are thoughtfully designed and have already inspired excitement and confidence among my young artists!\r\n\r\nSome of the items I bought included an Elements of Art Mega bundle, a Design Your Own Food Truck Sub Lesson, Elementary Easter art lessons, an Eric Carle Insect Collage project, and Pie Sculpture Art lessons. The Elements of Art Mega Bundle was what I was excited about most, which has 56 elementary art projects ready for exploring.\r\n\r\nI already used inspiration from the Mega Bundle, including Elements of Art. We explored a Line Sculpture Project, which they had so much fun making. I told them they could imagine they were creating their own theme park or environment with paper sculptures that twirl and bend (almost like a roller coaster ride). All the students were very engaged in the project and came up with some of the most creative ways to make a line bend. \r\n\r\nComing up very soon, I will have a sub taking my place on a Friday in November for me to be able to attend my cousin's wedding. This is when I plan to put the Design Your Own Food Truck Sub Lesson to use. I think the students will be so excited to jump into the creative process of envisioning a food truck and who knows if it will plant a vision in a student's mind to create a future business. It will surely give the students confidence in knowing they are in control of their creative thinking and allow them to understand how their creative skills can help the world around them.\r\n\r\nYour contribution not only supports art education but also encourages students to express themselves, take creative risks, and discover joy in the artistic process. They were so surprised with all the solutions there were for mistakes in art, to make the mistakes purposeful. After we read the book, they made some interactive art from a ripped piece of paper (like the crocodile example given in the book). Since you might not know how the book goes, the torn piece of paper is where an artist put the mouth, so they could draw it as if it was a crocodile with its mouth open.\r\n\r\nThis week we just got done celebrating \"National Dot Day\" on Monday (celebrated each year on Sept 15th). Since I get each class once during a week, it ended up being a \"Dot Week\", so all students could learn about the message Peter H. Reynolds gave the nation with his book \"The Dot\". I explained to students that it wasn't only about the physical mark of a pencil or dot and where it takes you... but also about the invisible mark. Inspiring others can make an invisible mark on the world that can be visible to others by the way you impact or inspire them in positive ways. \r\n\r\nWe can't wait to read some more and grow in our abilities and understandings.","fullyFundedDate":1746453742216,"projectUrl":"project/mistakes-are-okay-in-art/9254642/","projectTitle":"Mistakes Are Okay in Art","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Knobbe","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9716651"},{"teacherId":2775227,"projectId":9227139,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our classroom storybooks project.
