Both of these items have already made such a positive impact in my classroom, and I am so grateful for your support.\r\n\r\n\r\nBefore we had the easel, we mostly used small whiteboards or paper at our tables. Now, students take turns writing and drawing at the easel, and it has encouraged participation from everyone. \r\n\r\nThe art drying rack has been equally helpful. Before receiving it, I often struggled to find space for students' artwork to dry safely. Paintings would be spread out on tables, counters, or even the floor, which made our classroom feel cluttered and made it hard to protect students' work. The new drying rack has completely solved that problem. Now, every piece has a safe place to dry, and students know exactly where to put their projects when they finish.\r\n\r\nThis small change has made a big difference in our classroom routine. It helps keep our space organized, saves time, and gives students a sense of responsibility. They love checking the rack later to see their finished art displayed neatly and ready to go home. It's also allowed us to take on more creative projects since we no longer have to worry about where everything will dry.\r\n\r\nThese two items may seem simple, but they have truly transformed parts of our day. The easel brings energy to our literacy and math lessons, and the drying rack keeps our art time calm, organized, and enjoyable. Together, they've made our classroom more functional, engaging, and inspiring.\r\n\r\nThank you again for supporting my students and for believing in the power of hands-on learning. Your kindness and generosity have brought so much joy to our classroom and have given my students tools they can use to learn, create, and grow. We are so appreciative of your support and will continue to make the most of these wonderful resources every day.","fullyFundedDate":1754779065426,"projectUrl":"project/creating-little-artists-drying-rack-e/9430440/","projectTitle":"Creating Little Artists: Drying Rack & Easel for Kindergarten Creativity!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Kirmse","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10047006_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1762722606415","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10047006"},{"teacherId":8888703,"projectId":9271152,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your donation. The wave chairs have been magical in my classroom. Children who were having a hard time regulating their output of proprioceptive movement found they are able to have movement but not so much that it impairs learning of themselves and learning of others.\r\n I apologize for the late thank you note. I have taught in Early Childhood Education for 20 years. Throughout my years I learned a lot about sensory input/output. I also earned all of my teaching degrees and ended with a Masters of Education in Special Education. I have worked with many types of service providers that help children with Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy, and Physical Therapy. Additionally, along the way I became an In District Autism Consultant (IDAC) via Project Access and a Missouri Parent Advisor for the Blind. A few life events appeared and I needed to adjust my sails.\r\n Adjusting my sails meant a new venture in education. This is my first year teaching 3rd Grade. I have 22 amazing students with diverse needs in a very rural low economic school district. The wave chairs are amazing with one exception, I do not have enough. I have 2 wave chairs and 2 wobble seats. I will be reaching out and asking for more donations. We have been sharing them because we have more needs than flexible seating. Children often have extra energy and do not know what to do with that energy during a school day \r\n My students have been so generous at sharing with their classmates. My kids had an awesome time working together to put the antique rotary phone together. We ended up missing a piece and after letting the company know, they shipped a whole new kit immediately.
