Because of your support, our classroom was able to use an incubator to observe eggs as they developed and hatched into chicks right before our eyes. This hands-on experience brought science to life in a way that books alone never could.\r\n\r\nThroughout this project, students learned about the stages of a chicken's life cycle, the needs of living things, and the importance of responsibility and care. Each day, they eagerly checked the incubator, recorded observations, and asked thoughtful questions about what was happening inside the eggs. When the chicks finally hatched, the excitement and wonder in the room were unforgettable.\r\n\r\nThis project strengthened more than science skills. Students practiced writing, drawing, measuring, and working together as a classroom community. They developed patience while waiting for the eggs to hatch and empathy as they learned how to gently care for the chicks.\r\n\r\nYour kindness created meaningful learning moments that my students will remember for years to come. Experiences like this inspire curiosity, build confidence, and help children see themselves as scientists and caretakers of the world around them.\r\nThank you for investing in our classroom, encouraging hands-on learning, and making such a memorable experience possible.","fullyFundedDate":1762829551294,"projectUrl":"project/hatching-hope-bringing-the-chicken-life/9742788/","projectTitle":"Hatching Hope: Bringing the Chicken Life Cycle to Life","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bean","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrscbea"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_16625","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":871,"numTeachers":62,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":52,"percentWhite":33,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":7,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"14.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":62.7,"schoolId":16625,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Scott Central Attendance Center on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Scott Central Attendance Center","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/mississippi/scott-county-school-district/scott-central-attendance-ctr/16625"}
