The science lab equipment available for classrooms today is pretty amazing and makes teaching/learning so much more interesting and fun, but it's so expensive! It's beyond the budget of many schools, especially small schools. So knowing that someone is interested enough in my students here in Mississippi to help us get equipment and materials we need is so heartwarming!\r\n\r\nAll all of my classes (chemistry, physical science, and AP Physics) use the balances VERY regularly. We've used them for a measurement lab, a density lab, for learning about moles in chemistry, in a Newton's Law lab in AP Physics, and a conservation of mass lab, and more. The balances are an absolute must-have and we'll continue using them all year in every class.\r\n\r\nWe've also used the whiteboard set a lot. This week my students used them to play Periodic Trends Jeopardy, which helped them review for their upcoming chemistry test. We've used them to write out electron configurations in chemistry, to draw circuit diagrams in physical science, and to make free-body diagrams in AP Physics. We'll use them in a few weeks in a snowman balancing race in chemistry. The kids love the whiteboards!\r\n\r\nI am most grateful for the Vernier Go Direct Cart and Track system. It's specifically for my AP Physics class and we've used it for several kinematics lab activities and will use it again in some upcoming momentum labs. These kids are so smart and are benefitting so much from the class and this equipment. Some of the physics equipment is so expensive that we just wouldn't have it at all without donors like you. I can't thank you enough for this!\r\n\r\nThanks again for the support of my students! It's appreciated more than you can know!","fullyFundedDate":1760738341271,"projectUrl":"project/stocking-a-small-school-lab-one-tool-at/9643089/","projectTitle":"Stocking a Small School Lab, One Tool at a Time!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Cox","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10218364"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_13263","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":483,"numTeachers":34,"percentFrplEligible":48,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":11,"percentWhite":84,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":0,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"7 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"14.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":64.3,"schoolId":13263,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Pisgah High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Pisgah High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/mississippi/rankin-county-school-district/pisgah-high-school/13263"}
